Samba do Coraçao

 

“Samba do Coraçao” (Samba do Cora-sao)  

“Samba from the Heart” in Portuguese, is

lead by Artistic Director, Mary Dollar. 

 

For 20 years, the group has been dedicated to the growth of Brazilian culture, inspired by the many dances and rhythms of Brazil.  

 

Performing widely in the San Francisco Bay Area, the company has opened for many headliners, including Santana, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, Los Van Van and Pete Escovedo. The group has toured nationally and internationally, playing to sold out audiences in Asia, Central & South America. 

 

Other credits and awards include the highly competitive San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival and Grand Prize Winners in the San Francisco Carnaval.
